And the quote was so beautiful that for a moment in time, I too wanted to write a letter to my girlfriend even though she lives a 10-minute walk away. It's all-in short instances, be it eyes or words. And all of love is like that, you don’t need to read an extensive paragraph detailing how amazing one’s heart shaped birthmark on their neck is. The quote just reads like poetry and just about conveys everything that a person feels for the other. The book was banned for a brief two-year period in France and even led to the end of the career of a politician when it was found that he was a partner at the publishing company in England. Like me, many know of Lolita, probably one of the most controversial novels of the 20th Century and its author Vladimir Nabokov. (and also ignore the BTS-related tags of the post) I had heard of Lolita, but I knew relatively nothing about the author that wrote the book and more so about the life he lived. When I first read this quote, I was in the post-nuclear fallout city of Tumblr, and I had to sit back and take it in. Vladimir Nabokov in a letter addressed to his wife, 24th March 1937 “It is cold today, but in a spring way and I love you.”
